The Moon Over Malibu Maine

There’s happy news from the imaginary town of Malibu Maine! It’s the arrival of The Moon Over Malibu Maine, a new book that takes place between two full moons, and stars a big cast of wildlife characters who want to watch the next full moon together!

Story:

When wildlife friends learn that a local groundhog has never seen a full moon, they make it their mission to help, planning an unprecedented night of moonlight fun and togetherness in the imaginary town of Malibu Maine. But will fox, owl, and their other nocturnal neighbors go along with the plan?

Background: 

I wrote this book with the help of my wildlife neighbors over many moonlit nights. Laura Winslow brought the story to life with her beautiful watercolor illustrations. This is our third book together, following in the steps of The Maine Birthday Book and Hop Onward Rabbit Rabbit. 

The Moon Over Malibu Maine is a hardcover children's book with dust jacket, and I hope you will enjoy adding it to your/your special little ones' collection. I wrote it hoping that generations would enjoy sharing this story together.

The cast includes a white-tailed deer, raccoons, groundhogs, rabbit, turkey, mouse, skunk, red fox, owl, coyote, bobcat, hawk, bat, opossum, crow, tufted titmouse, and one tiny mosquito. You see the moon move through its phases as the story moves along. We have nighttime and daytime scenes...it was a joy to make.
